Everyone,

Email your stories  / Email how tenants will hurt landlords when no evictions are allowed / Email everyone you can - TODAY.

I know it is confusing what is happening at the Senate and House. Basically, both sides are proposing a plan (HB 315 & SB 242) and trying to get something agreed upon quickly. Who ever's plan gets approved first - wins. However, the courts have made their decision that they will not even listen to any FED (eviction) cases for a long while.

Yesterday, the Senate was asking many questions about how it impacted landlords and what rights Senate has. The House made comments such as "no evictions until November 15". It has been interesting sitting there for hours to listening to bankers, lawyers, utility companies, associations, and etc. Then emailing and engaging whoever I can to get landlord voices heard.  At this time, only 2 people are attending calls that represent landlords. Your help is very much needed.

In short, those that have rentals, get it and trying to find a middle ground. Those that don't have rentals, tend to be VERY tenant-friendly.

Items the representatives are forgetting or struggling with - Credit Impacts / Fee Impacts / Balances increasing & due later / Collection challenges / What is Financial Hardship / What is an affidavit by a tenant / etc.....
